Unified Savers

Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 2025

Unified Savers ("we," "us," or "our") is a free informational newsletter and resource website for California homecare workers. We take your privacy seriously. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices.

Information We Collect

Website usage data. Like most websites, we may collect basic non-identifying information such as page views, browser type, and referring URLs through standard web analytics. This data is aggregated and does not identify you personally.

Newsletter subscriptions. If you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect your email address through our subscription form (hosted by Google Forms). We use your email solely to send the Unified Savers newsletter. We do not sell, rent, or share your email with third parties.

Interactive tools. Our on-site tools (wage calculator, benefits checker) run entirely in your browser. No data you enter into these tools is transmitted to our servers or stored anywhere. We never see it.

Cookies and Tracking

We use Google Translate on our site, which may set cookies from Google's servers. We may also use basic analytics (such as Cloudflare's privacy-preserving analytics) to understand how many people visit the site. We do not use advertising trackers or sell any data.

Third-Party Links

Our site links to third-party government websites, legal aid organizations, and benefit program portals. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites. We encourage you to review their privacy policies before submitting personal information.

Data Security

Our site is served over HTTPS. We do not store sensitive personal information. Your newsletter email is managed through Google's infrastructure with standard security protections.

Children's Privacy

Our site is intended for adult IHSS workers and caregivers. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Your Rights

If you wish to unsubscribe from our newsletter, you can click the unsubscribe link in any email we send, or contact us directly. California residents have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) — because we collect only minimal data and do not sell data, most CCPA provisions do not apply to our typical operations.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the site constitutes acceptance of any changes.
