Los Angeles County IHSS Wages Rise to $19.35/hr — Highest in Southern California

Los Angeles County IHSS providers received a wage increase to $19.35 per hour effective April 1, 2025, following SEIU 2015 contract negotiations. The increase applies to all non-live-in IHSS providers in LA County.

Policy Context

All LA County IHSS providers should see the new rate reflected on their first paycheck after April 1. If your pay stub shows the old rate, contact your county IHSS payroll office immediately. The new overtime base rate increases proportionally.

Los Angeles County IHSS providers are now earning $19.35 per hour, up from $18.65, following the ratification of the SEIU 2015 county contract.

Who Gets the Increase

  • All IHSS providers in Los Angeles County
  • Non-live-in and live-in providers (live-in overtime rules differ)
  • Effective for all hours worked on or after April 1, 2025
